In-Person Instruction Predominant, Provided Strongest Setting for Student Performance

On Thursday, Aug. 12, the U.S. Department of Education (Department) announced the approval of Indiana’s American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) plan and distributed remaining ARP ESSER funds to them.

Orange, Gibson, Perry, Posey, Jennings, Jefferson, Switzerland and Clay counties met the 200+ cases-per-100,000 residents and/or 15%+ positivity rate. All eight counties now under red are located in the southern half of the state.
