Rohrer to Gibson Southern

Mark Rohrer, who this winter led Southridge to the 2A Final Four has been named the next Boys Basketball Coach at Gibson Southern. Rohrer's overall record is 139-90 in nine years as Head Coach at South Knox and Southridge. before that he was an asst at Evansville Bosse. Rohrer will also be a guidance counselor at the school. He replaces Kyle Runyan, the former UE standout who retired after last season.

HS Softball Jasper 5 Mater Dei 3

Kaitlyn Mendel and Jasper play smallball as Mendel's bunt scores Kylie Patterson and Kennedy Matheis for the Ackerman Oil Slick Play of the game and the win as Jasper scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to defeat Mater Dei 5-3. Jasper is now 19-2 and has at least a share of the SIAC Championship.

Jasper Softball Coach honored for 150th career win

Jasper Softball Coach Matt Pryor was honored before the Jasper Mater Dei game for his 150th win. In the game Jasper scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to edge Mater Dei 5-3. Jasper is now 19-2 and has at least a share of the SIAC title

HS Baseball Jasper 7 Forest Park 0

Allstar Sports Allstar of the Game Caleb Burger knocks in Jobe Luebbehusen and Ben Henke to make it 3-0. Jasper defeated Forest Park in the game 7-0. Jasper is now 21-2.

HS Baseball Jasper 6 Evansville North 4

Andrew Wallace brings Jasper all the way back. After being down 4-1 Wallace's hit brings home Kody Morton and Connor Foley as Jasper defeated Evansville North 6-4. Jasper finishes their SIAC season unbeaten, they are 19-2, Evansville North 18-4.

Ray Howard Day at Ruxer Field

Executive Director of the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame Ray Howard is honored as many former players drove many miles to surprise him including members of his first Jasper team in 1977. Howard is currently in his 12th year as Color Analyst of Jasper Baseball Broadcasts on WITZ FM.

HS Baseball Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame Classic Jasper 2 Edgewood 1

Jasper only got one hit, a sixth inning double by Connor Foley but it was enough Ross Peter hit an elevator shaft ball that was dropped by the shortstop, Foley and Will Troxler scored two run and Jasper edged IU bound Luke Hayden and Edgewood 2-1. Grant Stratton went the distance to get the win for Jasper. The Wildcats are  now 14-2.

HS Baseball Jasper 5 Castle 2

Jasper's Jobe Luebbehusen with the Dr Daniel Eby Break of the game, giving Jasper their first lead of the game 3-1. Jasper would  put themselves in the SIAC drivers seat with a 5-2 win over fifth ranked Castle. Jasper is now 13-2 on the year. Castle is 14-2.

Wallace will play Baseball for Franklin College

At a press conference at Jasper High School Baseball standout Andrew Wallace announced he would play baseball for Franklin College. You can hear an interview with Andrew on the Saturday Sports on WITZ FM and witzamfm.com.

HS Baseball Jasper 3 Evansville Mater Dei 0

Connor Foley with the Uebelhor Chevy Long hit of the game scoring Troxler to make it 2-0  Jasper. Jasper behind the complete game shutout pitching of Grant Stratton defeated Evansville Mater Dei 3-0. Jasper is still undefeated in the SIAC.
