Wilmer Lengacher, 92, of Montgomery

Wilmer Lengacher, 92, of Montgomery, Indiana entered into eternal rest at 4:42 P.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Washington, Indiana.

He was born on June 6, 1931, in Montgomery, Indiana to Elmer and Emma (Stoll) Lengacher.

Wilmer married Dorothy (Swartzentruber) on July 27, 1950, and she preceded him in death exactly 6 years ago on April 10, 2018. Wilmer was a charter member of Bethel Mennonite Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great – grandfather.

Wilmer was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lengacher, his parents, Elmer and Emma Lengacher, his siblings, Leroy Lengacher, Paul Lengacher, and Marie (Lester) Graber, his great - grandchildren, Cole Stoll, Bryce Swartzentruber, Hazel Miles, and Isaiah Llana.

He is survived by his children, Terry (Sharon) Lengacher, and Rick (Kathi) Lengacher of Montgomery, his daughters, Janet (Mervin) Swartzentruber of Cannelburg, Linda (Aaron) Swartzentruber of Odon, Sue (Darrell) Stoll of Montgomery, and Lori Mann of Loogootee, 13 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren, and one due this April, 2024, his brothers, Joe (Zetta) Lengacher, and Fred Lengacher of Loogootee, Lester Lengacher of Hicksville, OH, Harry (Ruth) Lengacher and William Lengacher of Ft. Wayne, his sisters, Rosie Lennon of Sarasota, FL, Ruth (Kenny) Taylor of Loogootee, IN and his sister- in – law, Ruth Lengacher of Harlen, IN.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M Saturday April 13, 2024, at Bethel Mennonite Church with Carmen Detweiler to officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday April 12, 2024, from 1:00 P.M until 4:00 P.M and then continue from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Bethel Mennonite Church and then again on Saturday April 13, 2024, from 9:00 A.M until the time of service at 10:00 A.M at church.
