Wilma V. (Dalton) Runyan, age 91, of Huntingburg
Wilma V. (Dalton) Runyan, age 91, of Huntingburg, passed away at 1:10 a.m., on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born October 7, 1929, in Pike County, Indiana, to Zenus and Doris Dale (Richardson) Wineinger. Wilma was united in marriage to Ervin Dalton on October 20, 1951; and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1975. She married Myron E. Runyan on January 4, 1980, at Central Christian Church in Huntingburg. Wilma was a homemaker and member of the Towne & Country Home Ec. Club, American Sewing Guild, Central Christian Church, the Bible study group, and Dubois County Daughters of the American Revolution where she served as former Regent. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Dalton; one brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Lila Wineinger; and her brother-in-law, Gordon Miller.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Myron E. Runyan of Huntingburg; six children, Cathy Visage of Greenville, NC, Dave (Donna) Dalton of Huntingburg, Diane Brothers of Evansville, Jim (Ann) Dalton of Jasper, Mike (Brenda) Dalton of Mt. Carmel, IL, and Robert (Yvonne) Dalton of Leavenworth; three siblings, Owen (Betty) Wineinger of Wisconsin, Nona Miller of Huntingburg, and John (Anna) Wineinger of Sioux Falls, SD; and by (13) grandchildren, (17) great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandfurbabies.
Funeral services for Wilma (Dalton) Runyan will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.D.T., Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Central Christian Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at New Liberty Cemetery in Velpen. Minister Zachary Korff will officiate at the service. A Daughters of the American Revolution vigil service will be held during the funeral service.
Friends may call for visitation at Central Christian Church from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on Saturday, the day of the service. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the New Liberty Cemetery fund.
