William "Bill" E. Polen, age 71, of Jasper

William "Bill" E. Polen, age 71, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Bill was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on March 28, 1947, to Jesse and Mary (Richardson) Polen. He married Diane Dosch on November 20, 1965, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, Indiana.

He was a Jasper High School graduate, and then received degrees in Accounting from VUJC and Business Administration from USI. He held professional licenses in real estate brokerage, insurance, and independent fee appraising.

He worked as a Sr. Analyst at Masterbrand Cabinets for 43 years.

He was a 32nd degree Master Mason, and a member of the Glendale Masonic lodge, Hadi Shriners - Evansville, Hadi Shriners Hospital Staff - Evansville, where he was Man of the Year in 2014, Dubois County Shriners, Hadi Finance Committee, Hadi Shriners Top Circus ticket salesman for 10 years in a row, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite - Evansville, Kentucky Colonel, Sword of Bunker Hill - Evansville, Sons of the American Legion, and the VUJC Campus Alumni Association.

He enjoyed studying finance and investing.

Surviving are his wife, Diane Polen, Jasper, IN, one son, Steven (Tammy) Polen, Jasper, IN, one granddaughter, Jennifer Polen, Jasper, IN, one sister, Jada Dunlap, Allendale, IL, one brother, David (Wanda) Polen, Petersburg, IN.

Preceding him in death besides his parents, is one brother, Michael Ray Polen, who died in infancy.

A funeral service for William "Bill" E. Polen will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana. Pastor Bob Duley will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. The Glendale Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hadi Shrine Hospital Staff.
