Timmy “Tim” Joe Hill, 55, of Shoals

Timmy “Tim” Joe Hill, 55, of Shoals passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Gateway Deaconess Hospital, Newburgh.

Born June 21, 1968 in Washington, Indiana, he was the son of John Hill and Elsie (Hembree) Horsting.

Tim attended Loogootee High School before joining the United States Marine Corp in 1986 where he served for 4 years. He was a member of the VFW and ABATE.

He worked as a Supervisor in the Specialty Department at United States Gypsum and then at Kimball in Jasper.

Tim was a biker through and through, attending various biker events throughout the country. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and being on the river. Tim had a never quit attitude, even when he was bound to a wheelchair for the last 11 years, he continued to do the things he always had done prior to his accident.

Surviving are his children, Makayla “Mikki” Hill and Jaydon Hill; granddaughter, Lydia Qualkenbush; mother Elsie Horsting; siblings, Tammy Hill, Amy (Brent) Fellers, Nina (Kevin) Byron, Josh Hill, and Marci Hill; significant other, Melissa Wagoner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Hill; step-father, Walter Horsting; brother, David Hill; and sister, Joetta Horsting.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care.

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
