Thomas J. Fischer, 67, of Cannelburg

He was born April 19, 1954, in Washington, Indiana to the late Cyril and Rita (Kelley) Fischer. 

Tom married Patricia Spears on August 11, 1973, and she survives. 

He graduated from Barr-Reeve High School in 1972. Tom loved working with wood, building custom kitchen cabinets and furniture. He also worked in factories in Jasper. Later in life he started mowing cemeteries and delivering newspapers for the Jasper Herald and Evansville Courier and Press for 21 years. 

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Rita Fischer. 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Fischer of Cannelburg; sons, Michael J. (Rhonda) Fischer of Lawton, Oklahoma, Scott C. (Clarissa) Fischer of Houston, Texas, and Joshua D. (Alissa) Fischer of Puyallup, Washington; several grandchildren and brother, Mark Fischer. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Hindostan Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
