Sylvia J. (Brassine) Jones, 85, of Shoals

Born November 1, 1938, she was the youngest daughter of Severn Dale and Angela Lucille (Sipes) Brassine. Sylvia graduated from Williams High School with the class of 1957. She worked at Crane as a seamstress during the Vietnam War and was a waitress for many years. Sylvia enjoyed making candy and passing out candies during the holidays; baking; gardening; and crocheting. She lived a very simple life and will be dearly missed. 

Surviving are her children, Carl Dewayne (Martie) Brassine, Clint Anthony Jones, Kenneth Ray Jones, Angela Marie Jones, and Charles Christopher Jones; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Saraphine C. Doane; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in by her parents; the father of her children, Kenneth R. Jones; and eleven brothers and sisters. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until the service hour on Thursday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
