Ronald W. “Ron” Woodford, age 79, Formerly of Winslow

Ronald W. “Ron” Woodford, age 79, of Cadiz, Kentucky, formerly of Winslow, Indiana, passed away at 8:08 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

He was born April 1, 1941, in Velpen, Indiana, to George and Dorothy (Fritz) Woodford; and married Quanna Lynch Burgess on June 17, 1964, in Huntingburg.  Ron worked as a finishing superintendent at Windsor Plastics, currently Guardian Automotive, in Evansville.  Ron was a man of God who loved to play the piano and sing gospel hymns.  Aside from his faith, Ron also had a passion for basketball, fishing and trapping.  One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his family and teaching his grandchildren about his passions.  Ron was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his wife, Quanna Woodford of Cadiz, KY;  one son, John (Dee) Burgess of Shelbyville, IN; two daughters, Kristy (William) Andreozzi of Carmel, IN, and Kim (Dave) Fikejs of Hinsdale, IL; one brother, Greg (Beth) Woodford of Ocala, FL; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren                  .

 Memorial services for Ron Woodford will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with Dr. Robert Asa officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Winslow.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on Thursday, the day of the service.
