Ronald Lee Bledsoe, 76, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 3:47 am on Sunday
August 25th, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born June 21st, 1948 in Washington, Indiana to the late Dale & Ruby
Bledsoe.
Ron graduated from Loogootee High School in 1966 and was a U.S. Air Force
Veteran proudly serving his country. After returning home, he married his wife of
52 years, Linda on April 22 nd , 1972, in Loogootee.
He served as a Civil Servant at NSWC Crane beginning in 1971, and was fortunate
to retire June 30 th , 2000 at the age of 52. He then continued the legacy his dad
Dale established in the 70’s operating Bledsoe Pest Control where he created
lifelong friends and enjoyed the long conversations he had with every one of his
customers. Ron spent every moment he could with his family, loved being on the
river fishing and running trot lines. He loved his grandchildren and attended
nearly every basketball, baseball, tennis, tee-ball games, and dance recital over the
last 15 years. Ron was dearly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren. In
their eyes, he hung the moon. The love and guidance provided by him will never
be forgotten and he will live in their hearts forever.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Dale & Ruby Bledsoe: sister, Kathy
Burks: brother, Tony Bledsoe: father & mother-in-law, Russell & Francis Hager:
sisters-in-law, Donna Sanders & Judy Hager: brother-in-law Richard Green.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Julie (John) Scott of Vincennes, IN
and Jeff (Lori) Bledsoe of Loogootee, IN. Three grandchildren: Peyton, Brandon
and Preslee Bledsoe.
Ron is also survived by his siblings, Linda Green and Larry
(Judy) Bledsoe, all of Loogootee; sister-in-law, Sophie Bledsoe of Loogootee;
brothers-in-law, Garry Burks of Washington, Jim (Darlene) Hager of Loogootee,
Rob (Susie) Hager of Loogootee, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and good
friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29 th , 2024 at the
Loogootee Christian Church. Burial and Military Rites will follow at Goodwill
Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29 th , 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of
service at the church.
