Ronald L. Klem, age 73 of Jasper

Ron was born in Huntingburg, IN on January 28, 1946 to Clarence and Dolores (Schepers) Klem.  He married  Ann Mehne on June 29, 1967 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN.    He was a farmer and worked in agriculture construction throughout his life.    He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, where he formerly served on the church council and building committee.    He was also a member of the Ireland Sportsman Club and the Jasper Moose Lodge #1175.   He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid sports fan, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   

Surviving are his wife, Ann Klem of Jasper, one daughter, Kerry McKeighan (Mic), Zionsville, IN, one son Chris Klem (Tammy), Fort Branch, eight grandchildren, Andie McKeighan, Jessie Thompson, Jake McKeighan and Klyde McKeighan, Isaac Jackson, Cory Klem, Tabatha Klem, and Brody Klem, two great grandchildren, Willow and Asa Jackson, mother Dolores Schepers, Ireland, one sister, Carol Oser, Ferdinand, five brothers, Stan Klem, New Hampshire, Tim Klem (Janet), Jasper, Mark Klem (Elaine), North Olmstead, OH,  Brian Klem (Patty), Jasper, and Jeff Klem, Ireland.   

Preceding him in death was one son Cory Klem, and his father Clarence Klem. 

Funeral services for Ronald Klem will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, IN, with burial to follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Haysville, IN.  Pastor Adam Ruschau will officiate.   A visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Wednesday.    Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
