Robert M. Lannan, 80, of Loogootee

Robert M. Lannan, 80, of Loogootee, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2021, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. 

He was born March 8, 1941, in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Joseph and Mary (Melton) Lannan. Bob married Feona Miller on March 3, 1962, and she survives. 

He was a United States Veteran and proudly served his country for seven years in the National Guard. Bob retired from MacAllister Machinery in Washington after 31 years of employment. He was a devote Catholic and family man. He was a lifetime member of St. Martin Catholic Church and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was very active in the St. Martin Men’s Club. Bob loved the land, gardening, and farming. He enjoyed watching basketball and NASCAR. He was very giving and was always ready to lend a helping hand. 

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Robert David Lannan; parents, Joseph and Mary Lannan; brothers, Clifford (Rita) Lannan, Thomas (Wilma) Lannan, Dan (Alice) Lannan, Donald Lannan, William Lannan, Paul (Dimple) Lannan and James Lannan; sisters, Mary (Frank) Arney, Kate (Bud) Gilley, Rose (Frank) Butler, Carolyn (Thomas) Clements. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Feona of Loogootee; daughters, Kimberly Fields of Loogootee, Patty (Dave) Lico of Cummigs, Georgia and Jill Lannan of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Matthew (Alicia) Fields, Drew Fields, Arianna Mantas and Cole Mantas; 3 step-grandchildren; siblings, John C. (Mary Jo) Lannan of Loogootee and Wilma (Bill) Sinnott of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Lannan and Barbara Lannan; godchildren, David Clements, Larry Lannan, Becky Boling and Joe Lannan; and many nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 3rd , 2022, at St. Martin Catholic Church in Loogootee, officiated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee and Monday, January 3rd , 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the church.
