Richard T. Baugh, 76, of Shoals

Richard T. Baugh, 76, of Shoals, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at his residence.

Born March 8, 1947, in Cale, Indiana, he was the son of William Roscoe and Katherine (Blanche) Baugh.

Richard graduated from Shoals High School and worked as a laborer at U.S. Gypsum, the State Highway with the Martin County Highway Department, and the Martin County Council on Aging, where he retired from in 2022.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #2442, Shoals.

Richard enjoyed fishing, boating, and playing music on McBride’s Bluff. He was a historical buff and knew a lot about Martin County.

Surviving are his children, Shannon (Kurt Streicher) Neukam and Terri (P.J.) Swartzentruber; longtime friend, Jason Roach; grandchildren, Garrett Neukam, Josh (Melinda) Swartzentruber, Matthew (Gracen) Swartzentruber, Seth (Taylor) Swartzentruber, Allison (Drew) Nelson, Wyllie and Wyatt Neukam, Mackenzie Swartzentruber, Nick Swartzentruber, and Hannah Swartzentruber; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Oakland, Kamden, and Baby Nelson on the way; his precious dog, Baby Girl; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded death by his parents, and siblings, Larry Baugh and Peggy Carter.

Funeral service will be at Noon on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care, Shoals. Burial will follow in the Trinity Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the service hour on Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made the Martin County Council of Aging.
