Randall Alban “Randy” Merkley, age 66, of Huntingburg
Randall Alban “Randy” Merkley, age 66, of Huntingburg, passed away at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
He was born April 24, 1954, in Jasper, Indiana, to Alban L. and Rose T. (Gutgsell) Merkley; and married Sharon A. Kuehn on August 14, 1999, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. Randy graduated from Forest Park High School, owned and operated Merkley Auto and Truck, and was a truck driver for Decora. He was a faithful member of Divine Mercy Parish/St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the St. Anthony K of C, past member of the Iron Horse Truck Pulling Team, and enjoyed attending swap meets. Randy was preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Merkley of Huntingburg; two step-daughters, Tonya (Johnny) Lisby of Huntingburg and Krys (James) Miller of Holland; five brothers, Stephen (Darlene) Merkley of St. Anthony, Robert (Donnettia) Merkley of Jasper, Michael Merkley of Huntingburg, Kenneth (Lisa) Merkley of Dubois and Leon (Karen) Merkley of Jasper; two sisters, Lois (Daniel) Wagner of Ferdinand and Carol (Mike) Kreilein of St. Anthony; and six step-grandchildren.
Private funeral services for Randy Merkley will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in St. Anthony, Indiana.
