Phyllis Jean Kidwell, 84, of Shoals

Phyllis Jean Kidwell, 84, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Born August 1, 1939 in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Everett and Beulah (Ferguson) Allen.

Phyllis was a graduate of Shoals High School with the class of 1957. She worked at the Martin County Courthouse as a deputy recorder for many years.

She married Harold Dean Kidwell on August 4, 1956 and he preceded her in death in April of 1997.

Surviving are her sons, Jeff Kidwell, Kevin Kidwell, and Kirk (Dina) Kidwell; grandchildren, Krystal (Nick) Burns, Michelle (Keenan) Moffatt, Jill Bergbowder, Chris Kidwell, Curtis (Vanessa) Kidwell, Courtney (Lance) McKibben, and Kayla Kidwell; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Kidwell and Pauline Tuttle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; and 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the service hour on Friday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
