Oscar Mullis, 82, of Siberia

Oscar was born March 29, 1942 to Emil and Cecelia (Jacob) Mullis. He married Marilyn Kerstiens on April 20, 1963 in St. Meinrad. Oscar was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366. Oscar served on the R.E.C and Spencer County Co-Op Board of Directors. He was a salesman for Crow’s-Channel Seed. 

Oscar is survived by his wife Marilyn; five sons, Jerry (Lisa) Mullis of Birdseye, Tim (Lisa) Mullis of Adyeville, Darrell (Marlene) Mullis of Santa Claus, Scott (Ginger) Mullis of Siberia and Kurt (Nicole) Mullis of Bretzvile; one daughter, Linda (Wayne) Bueltel of Ferdinand; 15 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren; brother, Leroy (Elaine) Mullis of Iowa; sister, Mary Ann Troesch of St. Meinrad; sister in- law, Rose Mullis of Fulda. 

Oscar was preceded in death by six brothers, Sylvester (Betty), Joe (Mary Alice), Leo (Rosie), Othmar, Edgar and John (Ruth) Mulis; one sister, Esther (Robert) Klee; brother in-law, Clarence Troesch. 

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 25 th at 10:00 AM CT at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 will provide military graveside rights. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-7:00 PM CT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. There will be no visitation on Thursday.
