Ollie J. Stutzman, 80, of Washington
Ollie J. Stutzman, 80, of Washington, passed away at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
He was born May 5, 1941, in Plain City, Ohio to the late Joseph J. and Carrie (Christner)
Stutzman.
Ollie was a roofer and remodeled many homes. He was a licensed pilot and owned his own plane
giving many family and friends rides. He coached his son, Tim’s little league games and
daughter, Debbie was the score keeper. The players all loved him, and he had a great relationship
with all of them. His love for the games continued as a devoted fan of the Barr-Reeve Vikings
boys and girls sports. After moving to Indiana, he loved to drive his many Amish friends and
Dinkey’s Auction was a favorite. Ollie was of the Christian faith.
Ollie was well known for sharing stories and memories from his life that brought joy and
laughter to his listeners. He had a giving heart and was quick to share with others when he saw a
need. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him in the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. and Carrie Stutzman; siblings, Eli Stutzman
and David Stutzman.
Ollie is survived by his children, Debbie Hinote of Trinity, Florida and Tim (Nancy) Stutzman of
Union, Washington; former wife and mother to his children, Inell Stutzman; brothers, Harvey
Stutzman of Waterford, California, Noah (Helen) Stutzman of Hernando, Florida and Allen
(Rita) Stutzman of Cannelburg; sisters, Marty Headings of Sarasota, Florida, Mary (Amos)
Weber of Sarasota, Florida, Ruth (Ray) Weaver of Harrisonburg, Virginia and Marie Wright of
Plain City, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeremy (Dee) Hinote, Alexandra Stutzman, Lisa Stutzman,
Laura Wyatt and Amanda (Ryan) Brown; great-grandchildren, Ben Hinote, Ben Brown and
Linessa Brown; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 2 nd , 2022 at Providence Mennonite
Church Cemetery, 4738 E. U.S. Hwy 50, Montgomery, IN 47558.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2nd , 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Parson Event
Center, 4139 North 700 East, Montgomery, IN 47558 with a devotional to begin at 2:30 p.m.
