Norma Jean Mindrup, age 86, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.
Norma was born in Jasper, Indiana, on April 26, 1933, to Clarence and Verona (Rohleder) Frick. She married Francis J. Mindrup on December 29, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2003.
Norma was a homemaker and a medical receptionist.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
She was an expert quilter, sewer, and needle pointer. She also loved playing Bridge, bowling, dancing and studying birds of the backyard.
She also had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Surviving are her five children, Lynn Marie, Jasper, IN, Mark Mindrup, Encinitas, CA, Paul Mindrup, Denver, CO, Sheryl Schmidt, Ocean City, MD, and Alan Mindrup, Newport News, VA, seven grandchildren, John Moncure, Zachary Thomas, and Virgil Thomas, Jesse Kulp and Justin Schmidt, Joseph Mindrup and Jennifer Hackett and five great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are three sisters and two brothers.
Private funeral services will be held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
