Mary Evelyn Wheatley, 97, of Petersburg

Mary Evelyn Wheatley, 97, of Petersburg, IN, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2021 at Amber Manor.

She was born in Pike County, IN on November 19, 1923 to Emmitt and Edna (Murry) Catt.

She retired as a matron at Otwell School.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William M. Wheatley, Jr., son Rev. Curtis Wheatley, brother James Catt, and sister Ruth Bell Catt.

She is survived by daughters Beverly (Dave) Dunn & Carol (Corey) Anderson; brother Charles E. Catt; daughter-in-law Mercedes Wheatley; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time.
