Marvin “Baldy” Weyer, 69, of Ferdinand
Marvin “Baldy” Weyer, 69, of Ferdinand, passed away on Tuesday, February 16th at his home in Ferdinand.
Marvin was born June 7, 1951 in Jasper to Leonard and Rose (Fleck) Weyer. He married Antoinette “Toni” Wigand on February 14, 1970 in St. Mary’s Church in Ireland. Marvin owned Marvin and Toni’s Bargain Barn in Ferdinand for 35 years and also Weyer’s Drive In. He enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle as part of the “Pie Riders.” He took many hunting trips out west, and enjoyed grilling and cooking.
Marvin was a past participant in the Great Race.
He is survived by his wife Toni of Ferdinand; three sons, Paul Weyer, Nick (Elizabeth) Weyer and Clint (Rachel) Weyer all of Ferdinand; daughter, Vicki (Robert) Drysdale of Boonville; two brothers, Gene (Betty) Weyer of Charlestown and Leon (Donna) Weyer of Ferdinand; sister, Jean (Gene) Bose of Jasper; eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private with burial to follow in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery.
