Martha Wagler, 79, of Loogootee

Martha Wagler, 79, of Loogootee, passed away at 4:08 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born March 11, 1944 in Cannelburg, Indiana to the late Henry and Anna (Graber) Graber. 

Martha married Mervin Wagler on June 1, 1964 and he survives.

She was a member of the Berea Mennonite Church. She loved to garden, sew, and clean. 

Martha was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Jay Wagler; parents, Henry and Anna Graber; siblings, Johnny Graber and Mary Wagler; brothers-in-law, Homer Kemp and Marvin Wagler.

She is survived by her husband, Mervin Wagler of Loogootee; sons, Tim (Stacey) Wagler of West Lafayette and Jim (Shannon) Wagler of Loogootee; grandchildren, Steven Wagler, Alexis Wagler, Talon Wagler, Abraham Wagler, and Elly Wagler; great-grandchild, Waylon Knepp; siblings, Elizabeth Kemp, Rebecca Wagler, Amos (Patty) Graber, and Ann (Loren) Wagler; brother-in-law, Verlin (Marsha) Wagler; sister-in-law, Lil (Jim) Fuhs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Berea Mennonite Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Operation Christmas Child.
