Marjorie Elizabeth “Marge” Short, age 91, of Huntingburg

Marjorie Elizabeth “Marge” Short, age 91, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:00 a.m., on Friday, July 12, 2019, at The Waters of Huntingburg.

She was born October 9, 1927, in Eccleshall Stoke-on-Trent, England, to Arthur and Mary Toplis; and married Leroy E. Short on January 11, 1947, in Crown Point, Indiana.  Marge was a homemaker, member of Salem United Church of Christ, and loved being with her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy E. Short, on April 20, 2006; and an eight year old son, Derek Short.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Yvonne Wasson of Lutz, Florida, and Jan (Daniel Lee) Loehr of Holland; by three grandchildren, Laura Wasson, Mathew Wasson and Nicole Hopf; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, on Monday, July 15, 2019, followed by funeral services held at 12:00 noon, at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.  Denny Spinner will officiate at the service.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Salem Church Funeral Meal Fund.
