Marilyn Sue Lents, 84, of Washington

She was born September 1, 1936 in Washington, Indiana to the late Icel and Mary Kirk. Marilyn married Carol “Chick” Lents on August 4, 1995 and he survives. 

She enjoyed tending to her roses and garden. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and baking. Marilyn and Chick enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Washington. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Dean Solliday; parents, Icel and Mary Kirk; daughter-in-law, Sheila Solliday; brother-in-law, Wayne Self. 

She is survived by her husband, Carol “Chick” Lents of Washington; children, Dennis Solliday, Denise (Ray) Barnard and Debbie (Brant) Clark, all of Washington; step-daughter, Dana (Mark) Eichmiller of Corydon; daughter-in-law, Beth Solliday of Patoka; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- granddaughter; sister, Barbara Self of Brownstown. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Central Christian Church in Washington. Entombment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Christian Church.
