Marilyn L. Beadles, age 80, of Velpen

Marilyn L. Beadles, age 80, of Velpen, passed away at 5:57 p.m., on Friday, July 24, 2020, at her residence.

She was born January 10, 1940, in Velpen, Indiana, to Walter and Estel (Smith) Houchin; and married Sammy A. Beadles of Winslow on August 31, 1962.  Marilyn was a homemaker and a proud coal miner’s wife.  She loved spending time with her family, gardening and bird watching – especially cardinals and hummingbirds, and she loved her butterflies.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sammy A. Beadles of Velpen; one son, Kevin Beadles (companion, Tammy Cato) of Velpen; one daughter, Tona (Scott) Satterfield of Velpen; one granddaughter, Shanique (Tyler) Dillon of Jasper; one great-grandson, Aiden Dillon of Jasper; one brother, Royce (Bobbie) Houchin of Oakland City; and one sister, Sue (Larry) Mann of Otwell.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Kenneth Houchin.

Funeral services for Marilyn Beadles will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Beadles Cemetery in White Oak.  The funeral will be officiated by Bro. Lowell Thomas.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, the day of the service.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN 47546.
