Marilyn J. Wagner, 80, of Loogootee

Marilyn J. Wagner, 80, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Poplar Care Strategies.

She was born October 22, 1942 in Alfordsville, Indiana to the late Ralph Doyle and Mickey (Lett) Edwards.

Marilyn married Donald R. Wagner on December 23, 1960 and were married for 50 years before his death.

She graduated from Alfordsville High School. She was of the Christian faith. Marilyn loved life and people. She worked for the Larkin Department Store and the Loogootee IGA. Marilyn loved to decorate her porches for every holiday, make crafts and sewing for her family and grandchildren. She loved her children and grandchildren. They were very special gifts from God. She loved spending time with them and tried to attend their special events at school and church

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Wagner; parents, Ralph and Mickey Edwards; granddaughter, Chelsie Wagner; siblings, Gail Foster, Doyle Edwards Jr., Joe Edwards and Marlin Edwards.

She is survived by her children, Bob Wagner of Zionsville, April (Greg) Clark of Loogootee and Lynn (Trevor) Keller of Mariah Hill; grandchildren, Cassie (Sam) Nusbaum, R.J. Wagner, Josh Wagner, Miranda Keller, Grace Keller and Annie Keller; brothers, Paul Edwards of Washington and John (Susan) Edwards of Louisiana; sisters, Patty Small of Washington and Carolyn Sue (Larry) Peyton, both of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
