Marietta Esposito, age 87, of Huntingburg

Marietta Esposito, age 87, of Huntingburg, passed away at 3:54 a.m., on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born October 22, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Catherine (Provenzale) Scudiero. Marietta was a convalescent home healthcare worker; and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gardena, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, August “Gus” Esposito, on November 28, 1996; and sister, Delores Elizondo.

She is survived by three children, Steven (Sandra) Esposito of Evansville, Kathy Esposito of San Diego, California, and Jacqueline (Roman, Jr.) Mehringer of Huntingburg; one brother, Pat Scudiero of Las Vegas, Nevada; (5) grandchildren and (1) great grandchild.

There will be no local visitation or services. A memorial and interment will take place in California at a later date. The Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the disposition arrangements.
