Lydia (Stoll) Lengacher, 93, of Loogootee
Lydia (Stoll) Lengacher, of Loogootee Indiana peacefully entered into rest at home
surrounded by her family on February 14, 2022 at the age of 93 years 6 months and
27 days.
She was born on July 18, 1928 to Amos and Fannie (Richer) Stoll in Daviess
County, Indiana. On April 13, 1950 she was united in marriage with Simon
Lengacher. They lived a happy married life for 71 plus years.
To this union were born 4 children. Dorothy (Cletus) Graber of Loogootee,
Raymond (Sue) Lengacher of Loogootee, Floyd (Marietta) Lengacher of
Lexington, IN and Fannie K. Schrock of Loogootee. Also surviving are 21
grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and one sister Emma Stoll of Odon, Indiana.
Preceding her in death was her husband Simon Lengacher; her parents Amos &
Fannie Stoll; a son-in-law J. Stephen Schrock; 3 brothers Isaac, Enos, and Herman;
1 sister Rosann Wagler and 2 grandchildren Beth Ann Lengacher & Cletus
Andrew Graber.
Grandma will be missed by all for her loving care for her family and friends. She
spent much time in prayer for her family and always wanted what was best for
each one. She loved to have the family together for meal time and did what she
could wherever needed. She enjoyed her garden and could be found there in the
summer months gathering in the fruits and vegetables to keep the can shelf stocked
and the freezer well filled.
She was a faithful member of the Mt. Olive Mennonite Church of Montgomery,
IN.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the church, friends and all who
shared during her last days and gave assistance in caring for her, sharing words of
comfort along with much delicious food. May God reward you.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at
Mt. Olive Mennonite Church in Montgomery. Burial will follow in the church
cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Mennonite Church in Montgomery.
