Louise Helen Wininger, 84, of Shoals

Louise Helen Wininger, 84, of Shoals, Indiana passed away on Saturday August 12, 2023, surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born on May 31, 1939, in Shoals, Indiana to Martin and Edna (Wolf) Bauer.

Louise was a member of the Loogootee St. John Lutheran Church. She married Wilson Wininger on August 31, 1957, and he survives. Louise enjoyed traveling with Wilson, they spent 8 winters in Texas. She was an excellent cook, loved shopping, and going to yard sales. Louise enjoyed watching NASCAR, IU basketball, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Edna Bauer, her brother-in-laws, Karl Funk and Paul Hudson.

Louise is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wilson Wininger, their children, Brian (Tammy) Wininger, Randy (Vicki) Wininger, Todd Wininger, her grandchildren, Trenton Wininger, Bradley (Bre) Wininger, Justin (Sara) Wininger, Alex (Ginny) Wininger, Calli (Christopher Jones) Wininger, her great- grandchildren, Evon Wininger, Jaxson Wininger, Isaac Tarr, Kinsley Louise Wininger, Paisley Wininger, Oliver Wininger, Noah Wininger, her siblings, Mary Hudson, Cletus (Linda) Bauer, Carolyn (John) Mattingly, Lou Ann Funk, Debbie (Mike) Qualkenbush, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at 10:00 A.M at St John Lutheran Church in Loogootee, Indiana with Pastor Timothy Fleace to officiate. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 15, 2023, from 4:30 P.M until 8:30 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana and again on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M until the time of service at church.
