Lester Knepp, 87, of Montgomery
Lester Knepp, 87, of Montgomery passed away at 2:10 A.M on Thursday May 13, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on January 30, 1934 in Washington, Indiana to John and Rachel (Stoll) Knepp.
Lester was a member of Berea Mennonite Church. He loved gardening, flowers, and woodworking. Lester loved watching his kids, grandkids, and great- grandkids play sports. He helped with the Mennonite Relief Program for many years. Lester was a life long dairy farmer. He participated in the IW Program.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Fannie Mae Knepp, his parents John and Rachel Knepp, his siblings, Ezra Knepp, Abraham Knepp, Homer Knepp, Ervin Knepp, and Viola Graber.
He is survived by his children, Gary (Barb Graber) Knepp, Mervin Knepp, Donna (Mike) James, Wanda (Steve) Bullock, all of Montgomery, Perry (Pam) Knepp of Cannelburg, Devon (Lori) Knepp of Montgomery and Lonnie (Lisa Cresci) Knepp of Evansville; Grandchildren, Adara (Ryan) Batchelor, Kacie (Adam) Trueblood, Ethan Knepp, Hunter (Paige) Knepp, Micah (Katie) Bullock, Jenna (Matt) Stoll, Hannah Bullock, Logan (Tiara) James, Leah Bullock, Ross Knepp, Moriah Bullock, Hagen Knepp, and Shaynee-Mae Knepp, his Great- Grandchildren; Ayrah and Ryder Batchelor, Kaebri Trueblood, and 3 new greats on the way, his sisters; Rachel Yoder, Verda Knepp, and sister-in-law Catherine Yoder, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday May 17, 2021 at 10:00 A.M at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday May 16, 2021 from 1:00 P.M until 7 P.M at Berea Mennonite Church and again Monday morning from 9:00 A.M until the time of service.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Barr- Reeve Scholarship Foundation or Heart to Heart Hospice in Lester’s memory.
