Leroy F. Oser, 85, of Ferdinand passed away Friday December 25, 2020 at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand.
Leroy was born October 12, 1935 in Ferdinand to Lawrence and Verena (Weyer) Oser. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Oser on July 22, 2000 in Jasper. Dorothy preceded her in death on February 6, 2013.
Leroy was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church. He was a member of the Ferdinand American Legion Post 124. Leroy retired from farming and from JOFCO.

Surviving are three daughters, Deborah J. Conen of Huntingburg, Glenda (Frank) Jones of Terre Haute, and Brenda (Dave) Furguson of Dubois. One son, Alan (Krista) Oser of Ferdinand. A step-daughter, Karen (Greg) Borden of Jasper. 7 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. Two Brothers, Tom (Joyce) Oser of Hoover, AL., Arthur Oser of Ferdinand. Sisters, Shirley Daly of Louisville, KY., Alice Stenftenagel and Bernice (Don) Dorsam both of Jasper. His uncle Jim (Rita) Oser of Ferdinand. He was preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren, Nicole, Nicholas, and Kyle Jones, two sister-in-laws, Rita and Joanne Oser, one brother-in-law Ronald Stenftenagel.
Visitation and funeral services will be private. Viewing online will begin at 10:00 AM December 31, 2020. Burial with military graveside rites by Ferdinand Legion Post 124 will be in the St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation or The Ferdinand American Legion Fund in Leroy’s name.
