Larry E. “Tune-Up” Hotz, 79, of Loogootee
Larry E. “Tune-Up” Hotz, 79, of Loogootee, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Born January 26, 1945, in Loogootee, he was the son of Fred and Nellie (Phillips) Hotz.
Larry graduated from Loogootee High School, retired from the Army National Guard after over 20 years of service,
and was in the Civil Defense. He also retired from Acme Metal in Jasper.
He married Betty Tommy on March 7, 1964 and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2011. He married Edna
Roberts and she survives.
Larry enjoyed working on anything and having a garden.
Surviving are his children, Linda (Paul) Lentz, Brenda (Dave) Lythgoe, and Karen (Randy) Chrisman; and
grandchildren, Daniel Hotz, Tyler (Amanda) Lythgoe, Kendra (Chris) Lythgoe, and Daniel, Brittany, Joey Chrisman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Betty Tommy.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. at the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Graveside rites will be conducted following the visitation at the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church Cemetery on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care to assist
with funeral expenses.
