Kathy Merkley, 59, of Saint Anthony

Kathy Merkley, 59, of Saint Anthony passed away Sunday June 7, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. 

Kathy was born August 5, 1960 in Jasper to Alphonse & Marjorie (Rikard) Lampert. She was united in marriage to Randy Merkley on May 26, 1979 in St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Kathy was a 14 year employee at Masterbrand Cabinets. She loved car shows, deer hunting, animals, bingo, Karaoke and dancing. Kathy was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, and the St. Anthony Community Center. She especially loved being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Randy Merkley, one daughter, Catrina (Charles) Johnson of Cannelton. One son, Bradley (Stacy) Merkley of St. Anthony. Three grandchildren, Jacob Johnson, April Johnson, and Joseph Merkley. Her parents, Alphonse & Marjorie Lampert of St. Anthony. Two brothers, Michael (Nancy) Lampert and Richard (Becky) Lampert both of St. Anthony. Also surviving are five nieces & nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by one niece, Shawna Lampert, and her grandparents, Walter & Elizabeth Lampert, and John & Dorothy Rikard.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 10, 2020 in Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand from 9 to 10:30 AM Wednesday.
