Juliana J. Lindauer, 94, of Ferdinand
Juliana J. Lindauer, 94, of Ferdinand, passed away on Wednesday, October 13 th at the home of her
daughter, Joan (Bruce) Guillaume.
Juliana was born in Ferdinand on February 6, 1927 to Martin and
Mary (Wessel) Weyer. She married Francis Lindauer on May 7, 1949 in St Ferdinand Church. He
preceded her in death on October 8, 2015.
Juliana was a lifelong member of Christ the King Parish, St.
Ferdinand Church. She was a Charter Member of St. Anne’s Sodality and Choir. Juliana was a Eucharistic
Minister in church and the nursing home. She was a Simon Brute Award recipient through St. Ferdinand
Church. Juliana belonged to St. Henry Catholic Knights of Columbus, Dubois County Right to Life, Dubois
County Museum, Miraculous Medal Association and Navy Club Auxiliary. Juliana enjoyed quilting, sewing
and gardening. She sent annual birthday and anniversary cards to all her children, grandchildren, great-
grandchildren and in-laws. She attended a one room schoolhouse.
Juliana was the last surviving
grandchild of Henry and Theresa Wessel.
Juliana is survived by two sons, Mike (Judy) Lindauer and Phil
(Sharon) Lindauer both of Ferdinand; four daughters, Janice (Larry) Hochgesang, Sharon (Bill) Mehling
and Joan (Bruce) Guillaume all of Ferdinand and Susan (Clarence) Brames of St. Anthony; sister in-law,
Helen Weyer of Ferdinand; nineteen grandchildren and forty-six great grandchildren.
Juliana was
preceded in death by a brother, Hugo Ray Weyer; four sisters, Leona Ebert and Hilda Pund and Almeda
and Mary Ann Weyer in Infancy.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 18 th at 10:00 AM in St.
Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Becher Funeral
Home in Ferdinand on Sunday, October 17 th from 3-7:00 PM and also on Monday from 7-9:30 AM at the
funeral home.
St. Anne’s Sodality will have a prayer service on Sunday at 7:00 PM followed by a family
