Joe Kupper, age 84, of Jasper
Joe Kupper, age 84, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at the Timbers of Jasper.
Joe was born in St. Meinrad, Indiana, on February 9, 1936, to Herman and Margaret (Stratman) Kupper. He married Sue Heowener on October 7, 2017, in Huntingburg Outreach Ministries.
He was a member of the Army National Guard.
He retired from DMI, where he had worked for 18 years.
He was a member of Huntingburg Outreach Ministries, Huntingburg Christian Church, and a past member of the Eagles of Huntingburg.
Joe enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, crossword puzzles, word searches, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Kupper, Jasper, IN, five daughters, Becky Perez, Hutingburg, IN, Linda (Kevin) Perry, Oakland City, IN, Tonya (Paul) Wilson, Lenoir, TN, LaDonna (Lee) Turner, Princeton, IN, Amber (Randy) WIlkens, Haubstadt, IN, two sons, Mark Whitney, Petersburg, IN, and Greg Kupper, Jasper, IN, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, step-daughters, Sheila Burris, and companion, Denver, CO, Shaunna (Chris) Aders, Jasper, IN, one step-son, Stephen (Tresa) Heowener, Jasper, IN, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. The family would like to especially thank his niece, Tiffany Brewster, for being Joe's mentor while at Cathedral Health Care.
Preceding him in death are eight siblings.
A service for Joe Kupper will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Huntingburg Outreach Ministries in Huntingburg, Indiana, with burial to follow in Duff Cemetery at a later date. Pastors Gene Marcum and Jason Rea and will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the 8:00 p.m. service time on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Huntingburg Outreach Ministries.
Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
