Jessica F. Harker, age 72, formerly of Jasper,
Jessica F. Harker, age 72, of Bloomington, Indiana, formerly of Jasper, passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper.
Jessica was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on November 22, 1947, to Thomas and Mollie (Chism) Fowler. She married Joel D. Harker on March, 7, 1969 at Trinity United Church of Christ. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1970.
She was a 1965 graduate of Ireland High School and received a bachelor's degree at the University of Evansville in mechanical engineering.
She retired from Crane as a mechanical engineer.
She was a member of Ireland Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF).
She was an avid collector of lobster memorabilia.
Surviving are one son, Kent (Jennifer) Harker, Jasper, IN; three sister-in-laws, Karen Nordhoff, Jasper, IN, Alice Harker, Newburgh, IN, Rosie (Fowler) Nichols, Franklin, KY; and three nieces and five nephews.
Preceding her in death was one brother, Donald Lee Fowler and one sister-in-law, Anne Harker.
A private memorial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ireland Historical Society or Shiloh United Methodist Church.
