Jane E. Striegel, age 72, of Birdseye

She was born February 26, 1948, in Huntingburg, to Harold “Rudy” and Norma (Austin) Jackson; and married Roman L. Striegel on May 13, 1989, in Huntingburg. Jane was a hairdresser; a member of the Birdseye Christian Church; enjoyed gardening; and served as treasurer for 5 years on the Birdseye Cemetery board. She was a loving and caring person who was always willing to help others.

 Jane was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Paul Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Roman L. Striegel of Birdseye; five children, Andrea Yount of San Diego, California, Rachelle (Chip) Morrow of Long Island, New York, Jason (Joanne) Walters of San Diego, California, Stephanie (Brandon) Holloway of Fishers, and Amber Striegel of Indianapolis; two siblings, Jerry L. (Glenda) Jackson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and LouAnn J. Harris of Huntingburg; and five grandchildren, Alex, Sylvia, Hannah Jane, Annabel, and Nicholas. 

Graveside services for Jane Striegel will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at the Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, Indiana. Pastor Ron Hickman will officiate at the graveside service. Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on Wednesday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department.
