Jane Ann Whitten, age 67, of Burbank, California, formerly of Huntingburg

Jane Ann Whitten, age 67, of Burbank, California, formerly of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Providence St. John Memorial Hospital, Burbank, California.

Jane was a 1973 graduate of Southridge High School and a 1977 graduate of University of Evansville School of Nursing.  She began her nursing career at Welborn Hospital in Evansville.  She was passionate about her career and also traveling; those two passions intertwined and Jane became a traveling nurse.  The opportunity took her many places and created many friendships.  Her last traveling assignment was in California where she became a permanent employee of Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Los Angeles.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Imelda Whitten; a brother, John; and a sister, Laura.

She is survived by her brother, Robert (Karen) Whitten of Jasper; a sister, Amy Whitten of Dallas, Texas.

There will be no services.  Memorial contributions may be made to:  Robert and Imelda Whitten Endowment in care of the Dubois County Foundation.
