James Logan Bird, age 87, of Hillham

He was born in West Baden Springs, Indiana on January 10th, 1934, to Claude Bird and Helen (Henson) Bird.

James was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Jessie Goldman, June Curry, Sarah Jeanette Stone, Theda Cleveland, and a sister in infancy; four brothers, Joey Bird, Doug Bird, and twins Marvin and Melvin in infancy.

He married Billie Roach on September 19th, 1965 and she survives.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army, retired from JSI and was a member of Peoples Tabernacle of French Lick.

He enjoyed painting, hunting and fishing.

James is survived by his wife, Billie Bird, of Hillham, Indiana, sister Annie Gougan, of Colorado, and several neices and nephews.

A graveside ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Randy Simmons of Friday, July 2nd, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmons Ridge Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmons Ride Cemetery.
