Imogene Clifton Baggett, 90, of Newton Grove, NC

Mrs. Imogene Clifton Baggett, 90, of Newton Grove, North Carolina, died November 14, 2021, after a brief illness. She had been a resident of Rolling Ridge Assisted Living in Newton Grove since January of 2017.

She is survived by four children; Glenn Alphonsus Baggett (wife Jennifer), of Newton Grove, NC; Regina Star Baggett Schulz (husband Bob), of Celestine, IN; Bernard Clifton Baggett (wife Susan), of Dubois, IN; and Selina Baggett Shue (husband Grady), of Hickory, NC; and one brother, John Clifton, of Crozet, Virginia. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, and five step great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, William Eli Baggett; son, Christopher Eli Baggett; daughter, Mona Roslyn Baggett; mother, Edna (Highsmith) Clifton Oates Newton; father, Bernice Clayton Clifton; sister, Sarah Rogers; brothers Francis Clifton and Gerald Clifton; and stepbrother, Bryant Clifton.
