Ilma M. Neukam, age 100 of Haysville
Ilma M. Neukam, age 100 of Haysville, went to her eternal home with Jesus at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday June 17, 2020 at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, just five hours short of her 101st birthday.
Ilma was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 18, 1919 to Johann Christopher and Laura Anna Katherina (Himsel) Harder. She married Elmer W. Neukam on February 18, 1941 in Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2002.
She was a homemaker and was a very active and mission minded member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville.
She enjoyed quilting, bowling, music, camping with her husband, flowers, gardening, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family at gatherings.
Surviving are two daughters; Judith Ann Angerer of Jasper, Brenda S. Norman, Haysville, two sons; Donald L. Neukam (Debbie), Huntingburg, and Kurt Neukam, Haysville, seven grandchildren; Chris Angerer, Wes Neukam, Whitney Neukam, Lucas Norman, Leah Rose, Kaitlyn Neukam, and Mandy Neukam-Hamby, nine great grandchildren, one sister; Shirley Street, Haysville.
Preceding her in death beside her husband were one daughter; Carol Jean Neukam, one son; Farrell Neukam, one great granddaughter; Lilly Neukam, and one brother; Nelson Harder.
Funeral Services for Ilma M. Neukam will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana with burial to follow in Haysville Community Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m until the 1:00 p.m. service time at Christ Lutheran Church on Saturday.
