Helen Mae Kluesner, age 93, of Haysville

Helen Mae Kluesner, age 93, of Haysville, Indiana, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at home surrounded by family. 

Helen was born in Schnellville, Indiana, on August 20, 1929, to Leo and Anna Mae (Brosmer) Schlachter.  She married William “Bill” Kluesner on April 27, 1951, in Shoals, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on September 25, 2010. 

She retired from Forest Products, where she had worked for many years. 

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.  

Helen enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles, crafting, cooking, and spending time with family. 

Surviving are four daughters, Miranda (Steve) Schroeder, Celestine, IN, Beverly (Keith) Ruhe, Celestine, IN, Diane (Jeff) Fuhrman, Wickliffe, IN, Michelle (Floyd) Napier, Haysville, IN, one son, Gerald (Lana) Kluesner, Loogootee, IN, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren, and two sisters, Beatrice Knies, Celestine, and Sally Nordhoff, Indianapolis, IN. 

Preceding her in death besides her husband are twin grandchildren, one sister, Veronica Raufeisen, and five brothers, Ray, Jerome, Sylvester, Leroy and Arthur Schlachter. 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Mae Kluesner will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana. 

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.
