Harriette Fern Seals, 86, of Loogootee

Harriette Fern Seals, 86, of Loogootee, IN passed away on Thursday June 2, 2022, at Sycamore Care Strategies in Loogootee, Indiana.

She was born on February 28, 1936, in Hindostan Falls, Indiana to George and Thursa Mae (Holt) Spears. Harriette married John Seals Jr. on March 29, 1957, and they were married for 41 years before he passed away in 1998. She was a long-time member of the Loogootee Christian Church. Harriette graduated High School and beauty school and then opened and operated Harriette’s Beauty Shop for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and loved ice cream. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Seals Jr., her parents, George Franklin and Thursa Mae Spears, and multiple siblings.

Harriette is survived by her children, John Seals of Loogootee, Mike (Sheri) Seals of Loogootee, Patti (Brant) Brumley of Loogootee, her grandchildren, Courtney, Audra, Brittney, Chad, Aimee, Kelsy, Jody, Nathan, 3 great – grandchildren, her brother Joe Spears of Loogootee, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday June 5, 2022, at 1:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Frost to officiate. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Sunday June 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Blake Funeral Home and continue until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Loogootee Christian Church in memory of Harriette.
