Fayetta (Tindall) Emmons, 82
Fayetta (Tindall) Emmons, 82, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Jasper Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 30, 1941, to Harry and Della Tindall of Mulkeytown, Illinois. She attended Lockyear Business College in Evansville, Indiana and met the love of her life.
Faye married Charles O. Emmons on January 31, 1960, and they were happily married for 62 years until Charles’ passing in November 2022. The couple resided in Crystal, Indiana.
Faye was a people person and never met a stranger. She had a career as a receptionist where she always had an opportunity to make a difference to greet employees and customers with a warm smile and kind word. Faye worked for many years at both Jasper Cabinet and Masterbrand, from where she retired. She also worked as a part-time sales associate at JCPenney.
During her retirement she focused on her hobbies of reading, crochet and never turned down a good shopping trip or a “sister-weekend”. If you had the privilege to know Faye, you know that her family was her most prized possession and was happiest when everyone was together, which was often the case most weekends. Faye took great pride in the closeness of her family that she and Charles created.
She is survived by three daughters: Delana Street, Rita (Tony) Bohnert, Trish (Bob) Hammond and one son, Rick (Stacey) Emmons. She also leaves behind 12 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. Surviving siblings, all in Illinois, include three sisters: Brenda (Terry) Pedigo, Sally (Gary) Cesar, Donna (Edgar) DeLaval and two brothers: Randy Tindall and Dennis (Lori) Tindall. In addition to several nieces and nephews.
Proceeding Faye in death is her Husband, Charles Emmons; her Parents; Brother Roger Tindall; one Grandson and four Great Grandchildren.
The Family would like to give a very special “THANK YOU” to Faye and Charles’ wonderful neighbors who went above and beyond by always checking in on their well-being, providing meals or groceries and visiting with them. Both of our parents enjoyed your kindness, thoughtfulness, and the time you spent with them.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Bob and Trish Hammond in “The Clubhouse” located at 2528 E State Road 56, DuBois, Indiana.
