Elias Perez Sanchez, age 83, of Dale

Elias Perez Sanchez, age 83, of Dale, Indiana, passed away at 6:45 p.m., on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

He was born December 16, 1937, in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico to Cirilo Perez and Nicanora Sanchez.  Elias retired from Farbest Foods; was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale; and liked animals and socializing with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Belen Perez of Dale, Ind.; nine children, Daniel (Irma) Perez of Huntingburg, Ind., Alicia (Humberto, deceased husband) Barco of Naples, Florida, Patricio (Amalia) Perez of Laredo, Texas, Cirilo (Maria L.) Perez, Elias (Maria Dolores) Perez, Alejandro (Marta) Perez, Antonio (Maria A.) Perez, Gerardo (Ana) Perez, and Miguel (Dawn) Perez all of Dale, Ind.; by (33) grandchildren and (11) great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Elias Perez Sanchez will be held at 10:00 a.m., C.D.T., (11:00 a.m., E.D.T.) on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale.  Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Crispine Adongo.

Friends may call for visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale from 2:00-8:00 p.m., C.D.T., (3:00-9:00 p.m., E.D.T.) on Monday.  A rosary prayer vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m., C.D.T., at the church.  Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com
