Edna M. Hembree, 81, of Loogootee

She was born on March 27, 1940 in Washington, IN to John Lewis and Pauline M. (Burch) Lents. She married Donald E. Hembree on November 19, 1960. Edna retired after 17 years from Perfect Fit Factory in Loogootee, IN and later spent her time babysitting. She enjoyed reading, country music, and traveling. Edna loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family and will be dearly missed. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Lents, her infant daughter, Nancy Ann Hembree, and her siblings, James Lents and Sandra Lents. 

Edna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald E. Hembree, her children, Tammy Hembree, Donna Sturgeon, Christine Hembree, her grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Lewis, Kayla (Daniel) Tedrow, Dylan (Bethany Welker) Sturgeon, and her beloved dog Oreo. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Blake Funeral Home with Pastor Debbi Davis to officiate. Burial will follow in South Martin Cemetery in Loogootee, IN.
