Delphia Baker, 71, of Loogootee

She was born October 25, 1952 in Loogootee, Indiana to the late William and Iva Irene (Spaulding) Davison. Delphia was known by many in Loogootee, especially for her wit and orneriness. She was the official door greeter at Poplar Care Strategies, where she called home for the last four years. Delphia had a love for horses. She was a past member of the Shiloh Church of God in Odon. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Baker; her parents, William and Iva Davidson; sisters, Alberta Gould, Betty Tolbert, Patricia Jessen and Carla Skinner; brothers, Gary Davidson, Fred Davidson and Herbert Davidson. Delphia is survived by her siblings, Shirley Timberman and Wayne Davidson. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 th , 2024 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Shoals. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 12 th , 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
