Dawn Marie (James) Mullen, 52, of St. Anthony

Dawn Marie (James) Mullen, 52, of St. Anthony passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday July 19 th at her home. 

Dawn was born on July 4, 1972 in Tell City to Nolan and Betty (Miller) James. She was united in marriage to Michael Mullen on August 6, 1994 in St. Anthony of Padua Church in St. Anthony Church. 

Dawn was a certified nursing assistant at Northwood Good Samaritan in Jasper and at The Sisters Of St. Benedict Monastery in Ferdinand. She was also a babysitter for many years and was affectionately known as Mimi. 

Dawn was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, and St. Anthony Conservation Club. She enjoyed being with family and friends especially her grandchildren and her babysitting kids. She enjoyed going to races at Salem with Mike and friends. 

Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Mike Mullen, one daughter, Brooke (Cory) Ingram of Holland. Two grandchildren Grant and Warner Ingram. Her mother and father, Nolan and Betty James of Mount Pleasant, IN. Siblings, Chris (Trina) James of Ferdinand, Diane (Brian) Sturgeon of Eckerty, Anita (Pat) Borden of Birdseye, and Brian (Caryn) James of Branchville. 

She was preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents, Dorotha & Gabe Miller, and her Paternal grandparents, Clarice & Ivan James. Her father- in-law, Tom Mullen. 

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday July 23, 2024 in St. Anthony Of Padua Church. Visitation will be Monday July 22 nd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Old Chapel Cemetery in Perry County.
