Darlene Lynne Benge, 61, of Shoals

Born November 6, 1962, in Washington, she was the daughter of Homer and Delores (Kinnick) Benge. Darlene was a graduate of Shoals High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Vincennes University; she was a homemaker and home health nurse. She was a member of the Shoals Holiness Church. Darlene loved to garden, spend time with her grandchildren, and reading. 

Surviving are her children, Desiree (Jonathan) Lawburgh, Tabitha Porter, and Michael Benge; grandchildren, Naomi Holt and Ivory Porter; siblings, Wayne (Cynthia) Benge, Mark (Cindy) Benge, Gregory (Patricia) Benge, and Joseph (Jody) Benge; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and niece, Alora Benge. 

Private family and friends service will be held at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.queenlee.com.
