Cheryl Anne Morgan, 71, Jasper
Cheryl Anne Morgan passed away peacefully at her home lovingly surrounded by her family on July 22, 2019. A resident of Jasper, Indiana, she was 71. Cheryl was born on January 3, 1948 to James and Bonnie (Herndon) Nolley. She graduated from Barr-Reeve High School in 1966 and attended Indiana University for two years. She was married for 46 years to her best friend, Ted Morgan.
Cheryl retired after 27 years from Kimball International where she was a payroll manager. Prior to that, she worked at Eaton's Farm Service for several years. Cheryl was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and previously was a member of the church choir and also on the Bereavement Committee. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. After retiring, Cheryl and her sister Becky, established Renewed Treasures, a furniture refinishing business, and created many beautiful pieces of furniture together for 5 years. Cheryl enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Indiana Hoosiers, Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. She also loved to read, especially on the beach where she spent several winter weeks with her sister Becky and brother-in-law and dear friends after her retirement in 2013.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Ted, sister Rebecca (Ed) Simmerman, Sisters and Brothers-In-Law Ruth (Kenny) Dupps, Jane (Truman) Hedrick, Mona Harrison, Tana (Fred) Porter. And Sandy Morgan. Also left behind is her Step Mother JoElla Nolley, Aunts Kathleen Livingston and Ferbie Nolley, Stepsisters Sandy (Gary) Williams, Debbie Mullen, Stepbrothers Mike Devine, Larry Devine and David Devine along with several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her fur baby, Gray Cat who was often found curled up on her lap.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother James, Father and Mother -in-law Glen and Helen (Soeder) Morgan, Brothers-in-law Carl (Bus) Morgan and George Patterson, and Sister-in-law Mary Kay Patterson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker and concelebrant, Fr. Gary Kaiser at 10:00 a.m, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper, Indiana.
