Carolyn S. Taylor, 77, of Loogootee
Carolyn S. Taylor, 77, of Loogootee, passed away at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
She was born April 4, 1941 in Martin County, Indiana to the late Russell Robert and Lucille Vivian (Gosnell) Hunt.
Carolyn was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and going to bible study. She was the proud owner of Carolyn’s Haircare. She took joy in taking care of her clients for 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lucille Hunt; siblings, James Hunt, John Hunt, Peggy Spaulding and Diana (Ed) Harder; brother-in-law, Mike Taylor.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard Taylor of Loogootee; children, Kristi Wilson of Washington, Rick Taylor (Michele Hart) of Montgomery, and Brandi (Jason) Hennette of Loogootee; grandchildren, Eric and Cameron Wilson, Melinda Taylor, Jamison and Hailey Hennette; siblings, Bill (Kay) Hunt of Loogootee, Larry (Angel) Hunt of Montgomery, and Darryl (Debbie) Hunt of Loogootee; sisters-in-laws, Sue Hunt and Janice Taylor, both of Loogootee; brothers-in-laws, Dave (Linda) Martin of Loogootee and Roger (Cookie) Taylor of Shoals; and Josie, the dog.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee and Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Catholic Cemetery Fund.
